Four years ago, REI started the #optoutside movement. A movement that rings very true to us here at Ascent. This movement is about setting aside time to break up your routine and experience the world around you.
We recognize the importance of a meeting space, a convenient location, and a predictable and organized environment to practice new strength and movement skills as necessary to our mission to get folks moving and proud of their bodies. At Ascent Fitness we take pride in our tailored and personalized coaching. We genuinely get to know each member and how to address their individual needs, goals and limitations. In order to meet this goals we generally do not allow drop-in students. When a student drops in to a class the coach has zero context of the persons wants, needs, experience and capabilities. This can be difficult for the coach as well as nerve wracking to the visitor.
During our Approach series we break down each movement, discuss goals and expectations and ramp up your exposure to weightlifting and fitness at your pace.

Nutrition is an innate behavior! Our intuition tells us when to honor our body’s hunger and fullness, and what types of foods it needs. Over time and from external influence, we learn to ignore hunger and fullness cues. Food rules are developed. Ideas are formed about what we “should” be eating or drinking.
This seminar, led by Sara Young, will cover the fundamental tools needed to return your intuitive eater and allow your body to dictate it’s own needs.
