Kelsey's thoughts on being a member of Ascent...
Why did you decide to join our Ascent Community? I joined to work on building strength, to do another kind of exercise besides running, and to be a part of a new community.
What are your favorite activities to participate in? Reading, writing, board games, hiking, exploring small towns in Washington.
What do you enjoy most about being apart of the Ascent Community? I like that I don't have to think too hard about fitness. I just show up to a class and I know that I'm going to be challenged, have fun, and feel stronger.
What is your best memory of being outdoors? Taking a group of teenagers on their first (and my first) backpacking trip at a previous job I had.
Do you have any words of wisdom or motivational quotes to share with the Ascent Community? "You can't win if you don't play."
What is your favorite food to indulge in? Cheese and chocolate.
Do you have any fitness goals you are working towards achieving? Doing a pull up! And then 2 and then 3...
Do you have any adventures you are training for? I want to backpack the Enchantments this summer and hike Mount St. Helens.
What is your favorite exercise to do while at Ascent? Box jumps, kettle bell swings, pull up lowers.
If you could be anyone for one day, who would you be? The owner of Ascent because then I'd know all the secrets to health and fitness ;)
