Member Shoutout: Naomi

Naomi joined our community a little over a month ago looking to feel healthier and stronger in her daily life. Since starting she has made a lot of progress including 6 full push ups. Plus, Naomi is a motivating classmate to have. She always comes ready to work hard and her positive and humerus personality keeps things light and fun. I hope you all get to join Naomi in a class eventually!

  1. Why did you decide to join our Ascent Community? I joined to be a better me. I want to be a mom that can keep up! Between cheerleading with my teen and chasing two toddlers, I knew something had to change because I was always tired.

  2. What are your favorite activities to participate in? I love cooking and hanging out with my family. I also really love movies, old and new.

  3. What do you enjoy most about being apart of the Ascent Community? That I am apart of something healthy. I feel good about that hour of my day. I'm pushed enough that I progress and I don't become discouraged.

  4. What is your best memory of being outdoors? Im new enough to Tacoma that I'm still getting to know the area. The parks out here are so diverse and beautiful. My favorite is probobly Wright's park because the kids love it and there is a lot things to do.

  5. Do you have any words of wisdom or motivational quotes to share with the Ascent Community? I don't think too much about the details. I follow the program and it works for me. It's also really fun!

  6. What is your favorite food to indulge in? Anything with sugar, flour and butter.

  7. Do you have any fitness goals you are working towards achieving? I want to feel great in shorts and a t-shirt. I don't want to feel self conscious of my body.

  8. Do you have any adventures you are training for? Life! I want to live and be healthy.

  9. What is your favorite exercise/ activity to do while at Ascent? Probably going through a course with different stations. Keeps it exciting.

  10. If you could be anyone for one day, who would you be? Id be me 10 years ago so i could instill healthy habits early!

  11. Anything else we should know about you? I can do 6 pushups! Last month I couldn't do one.
